48. Learn English Through A Great Lesson: Elon Musk

Elon Musk: The Man Who Dreams Big

Elon Musk was born in South Africa in 1971. As a child, he loved reading and thinking about the future. He was shy, but he had big dreams. At 12, he made his first video game.

When Elon grew up, he moved to the United States. He believed it was the best place to turn dreams into reality. He worked hard, learned fast, and started many companies.

His first success was PayPal, a company that helps people send money online. But Elon didn’t stop there. He sold PayPal and used the money to chase his bigger dreams.

He started Tesla to build electric cars. People laughed at him. “No one wants electric cars,” they said. But Elon kept going. Now, Tesla is one of the most famous car companies in the world.

He also founded SpaceX to take people to Mars. Everyone said it was crazy. But Elon believed in his dream. After many failures, one rocket finally worked. SpaceX became the first private company to send people into space.

Elon also created Neuralink to connect the brain to computers, and The Boring Company to build fast tunnels under cities. In 2022, he bought Twitter and changed its name to X.

He works day and night, sleeping just a few hours. He doesn’t give up, even when things go wrong. He believes in trying, failing, learning, and trying again.

If you have a dream, don’t give up. Work hard, believe in yourself, and take action. Even if people laugh, keep going. One day, your dream may change the world—just like Elon Musk.

47. Learn English Through A Great Lesson: The Dog and His Reflection

The Dog and His Reflection

One day, a dog found a big, juicy bone.

He was so happy. He held the bone tightly in his mouth.

As he walked home, he had to cross a small bridge over a river.

When he looked down, he saw another dog in the water.

That dog had a bone too!

The real dog thought, "That bone looks bigger than mine!

He wanted it.

Without thinking, he barked at the dog under water.

When he opened his mouth to bark, his own bone fell into the water!

Splash! The bone disappeared.

The dog stood there, sad and alone.

He realized there was no other dog. It was just his reflection.

He had lost his bone because of his greed.

The dog walked home, tired and hungry.

He learned a big lesson that day.

Lesson Learned

Be happy with what you have. Greed can make you lose everything.

46. Learn English Through A Great Lesson: The Wind and the Sun

The Wind and the Sun

One day, the Wind and the Sun were talking in the sky.

“I am stronger than you,” said the Wind.

“No, I am,” replied the Sun with a gentle smile.

They saw a man walking on a road. He was wearing a coat.

“Let’s see who can make him take off his coat,” said the Wind.

“Alright,” said the Sun.

The Wind went first. It blew hard.

Whooosh! The man held his coat tighter.

The Wind blew harder.

WHOOOSH! The man grabbed his coat and wrapped it around his body.

The harder the Wind blew, the tighter the man held his coat.

The Wind gave up.

Then it was the Sun’s turn.

The Sun smiled and gently warmed the air.

The man felt a little hot.

The Sun shone brighter. The man began to sweat.

Finally, he took off his coat.

The Sun looked at the Wind and said, “Kindness works better than force.”

The Wind nodded slowly.

Lesson Learned

True strength comes from kindness, not force.
