Robinson Crusoe - Part 4: Meeting the Native - “Friday” | study english through stories

Meeting the Native - “Friday”

One day, while exploring the island, Robinson Crusoe saw something strange. He saw a group of native people walking on the beach, and Robinson became very worried. He knew that some of these people might be dangerous.

Robinson hid and watched the group carefully. After a while, he saw them capture one man and bring him to the island. They planned to kill him. Robinson felt sorry for the man and decided to help. He shot at the natives, scaring them away. The man was saved!

After saving the man, Robinson did not know his name, so he decided to call him "Friday" because he saved him on a Friday. Robinson taught Friday how to speak English and helped him learn how to survive on the island. In return, Friday helped Robinson with tasks like hunting, building, and gathering food.

As time went by, Robinson and Friday became good friends. They worked together and took care of each other. Robinson taught Friday about God and the world outside the island. Friday became like a brother to Robinson.

Robinson was very happy to have someone with him on the island. Together, they lived peacefully, and Robinson felt less lonely. He knew that, with Friday’s help, they could make the island a better place to live.
